Sometimes it seems a daunting effort to keep our countryside pristine as shown in this photo. But if everyone reaches out and does his/her effort we can all enjoy a view not littered by man-made materials which will outlast us all.

The short article deals with how an enjoyable walk in the countryside can be ruined with broken signs, RTO and No Entry messages, unleashed dogs, and at time even ‘farmers’ who block the passage of the passers by. Is it really possible that the natural, undeveloped areas of the Maltese islands are private property? If so, why are they recommended as nature walks by the Malta Coastal Walk Book? What action should be taken by the authorities concerned?

A three part investigative study of the litter found in the northern, central and southern regions of Malta, as documented by the Year 10 students of St Monica School B’Kara. The students visited popular student areas in each region and filmed their findings. Each of the videos documents each region separately.
