Malta is a severely stressed country in terms of water resources. Water use in Malta has increased significantly in the past years. What have the residents of the Maltese Islands done with this fact? Have they accepted it as a weakness or have they viewed it as a challenged and started to find new ways to reach efficiency and effectiveness in their day to day activities? This article provides an insight of water management policies in the Gozitan countryside as well as examples of the day to day running of the hotel industry. An animation of how water is filtered and collected in a hotel is also provided.

Potable is a precious liquid which is incessantly being wasted and it is only getting worse. This article include the methods and techniques that can be done to abate this waste, at home, work and nationally. It also includes exact numbers of the amount of potable water, the amount of water being wasted and diseases caused by lack of water. This article is to show that we can make a difference anywhere even at home. If everyone makes a difference, then surely everyone will have water and water consumption reduction will be improved.
