On Monday, 14th February 2022 a group of R.E. Form 4 (year 10) students at St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Cospicua, reflected upon the meaning of LOVE on St. Valentine’s Day. This exercise was related to the R.E. study unit; ‘Lejn Zvilupp Shih: Gesu Kristu’ (Towards full development: Jesus Christ).

On Monday, 11th October 2021 St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Queen’s Young Leaders Group assembled together with their group founder teacher, Martin Azzopardi sdc to commemorate Mental Illness Awareness Week which is celebrated from the 6th till the 12th of October. The 10th October also marks World Mental Health Day and National Depression Screening Day.

On Wednesday, 12th January 2022 and on Thursday 13th January 2022 a group of Form 4 (year 10) and Form 3 (year 9) Applied Science Core Curriculum Programme (CCP) students at St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Cospicua learned about the health benefits of Green Tea while enjoying the fragrant taste of Chinese Tea. This project was held at the School Science China Corner founded in 2010 as a Montessori Method of teaching. The research study was related to the Science units about ‘Mixing Substances’ and ‘Body Basic Needs’.

On Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th December 2020, a group of Form 4 (year 10) and Form 5 (year 11) Applied Science CCP students launched a study project for the New Year 2022 about the health benefits of Maltese oranges. This project aims to encourage school students opting for oranges in their daily healthy diet. Including oranges in our daily diet will strengthen the body immune system against diseases and viruses. During this project students had the opportunity to taste the delicious juicy taste of fresh Maltese oranges.
