Nowadays we are faced with several environmental issues such as pollution, overpopulation, waste disposal, climate change, global warming and the Greenhouse effect problems, among others. This is all because we humans do not take care of our environment and prefer ‘progression’. I am going to address the topic of trees.

This is Ġnien il-Ħaddiem ( a park ) in Dingli. In the first photo, behind the swings, one can notice a trash can. One can see as well a hole that is enclosed by Heritage Malta. In the second and third photo, it is evident that people are still throwing away trash in the hole. People are littering in the hole when there is clearly a bin behind them! People are littering too much!

Trees are a gift from nature. They have numerous benefits. However, unluckily, today rich people and selfish politicians who think only about making money, are destroying a lot of trees to make way for construction and new roads.
