Clothes that are no longer wanted can be donated to thrift shops, to drama groups, or to disadvantaged people who might still wear them. They can also have a second life and repurposed into bags, used as material to wrap gifts and many other creative ideas.

This was all in the same area in Ta’ Qali! A flip flop on the floor beside grass; litter lying beside plants; wrapping amongst leaves and an empty packet of juice on the ground. We have to act fast – not next week, or tomorrow, or later today, but now!

The Earth isn’t in a good condition at the moment. The earth needs our HELP!! This is all because pollution, garbage, cutting trees, using plastic, no recycling and so much more. Garbage IS ONE Main ISSUE. Nowadays it’s very sad going to the countryside and all one can see is garbage in the plants, on the floor and in ponds. Plants and trees give us oxygen to breathe. Also we don’t want everywhere looking like a dump! So we can help by picking up the garbage left on the floor at the local park, countryside, beaches and lots more places. If you want to save the planet it’s now or never before it is too late! Once again the Earth needs our HELP!!

The Earth is suffering from a lot of pollution and it needs our help! Everyone can easily help the Earth! We should not litter and apart from helping the Earth we will be living in a better place without garbage on the street. We also need more plants as plants and trees provide oxygen to the world. We should stop cutting trees and destroying plants and throwing garbage away on the street. We need to save the Earth. We only have one Earth and the litter and garbage is doing so much damage. Stop Littering! It is doing harm to the environment and the wild animals too. If we stop littering the Earth will be cleaner and more plants, trees and flowers will grow and the world will be a better place.

It has become such a rarity to see such lovely creatures when you walk in the countryside because of our so-called progress. We keep destroying their habitat either by building or because of the decreasing water areas. It was a lovely surprise to meet Mr. Frog.

So many skips and yet it seems they’re still not enough for some people. It’s amazing and disgusting how, after so many years using bring-in sites, there are still some people who can’t use them properly! Laws should be enforced on such people. It’s the only way they will learn unfortunately.

Many times, we find what is called accidental or unintentional litter, which usually falls from full up trash can, collection vehicles and pickup trucks or trash that is blown away by the wind. But this is surely not accidental. No one like to find trash at his door but it has to start with us – to dispose of trash properly.

When they were called disposable cups, they didn’t mean that once you’re ready you can leave them lying around!! It’s already bad enough that they are single use cups … but leaving them around littering the area is even worse.

Pollution from vehicles harms our health and contain greenhouse gases that cause climate change. Negative health effects include lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory infections. We must use more sustainable means of transport.

Why do people litter? Often, people litter simply because there isn’t a trash can anywhere nearby. Rather than uncomfortably carry their trash away with them, it’s easier to leave it behind. Such an irresponsible way of thinking. That is so lazy and careless. Carelessness makes people throw rubbish anywhere without thinking about the consequences of their actions. Many people do not realize the negative impact of littering on the environment.
