In Malta, one can dispose of bulky household refuse at one of the ‘Civic Amenity Sites’ located around the island. Should this be inconvenient, one can call the local council and set an appointment for an employee of the Bulky Refuse Service to collect the refuse from one’s household. Both services are free of charge. However, some prefer to use neither. This photograph was taken in tal-‘Qrejten’, limits of Bahar ic-Caghaq.

The boys managed to help her slither out of the bottle and release it. The skink was quite surprised and happy to be out in the open again. It looked back at the boys a few seconds, perched on a rock, before running away. Rubbish, when improperly disposed

Ideas that have been discussed include giving more information to students, encouraging all students to bring reusable bottles to school and installing a water dispensing machine.
