Smog coming out from one of the chimneys of Marsa’s Power Station.  Smog is a term used to describe air pollution.  Air pollution is the interaction of sunlight with certain chemicals in the atmosphere. As smog increases to high levels, it is not easily dissipated; therefore it reaches rural areas and ecosystems far away when carried by the winds. One serious repercussion to humans is the permanent damage to the respiratory system.
