When we’re discriminating we’re treating a person differently because of what they do, are or believe in. Religious discrimination is a big problem in our society. It has existed since a long time ago and has led to religious persecution. Even in a society where freedom of religion is a constitutional right there’s religious discrimination. But why, why do people choose not to accept different beliefs? Aren’t they normal like any other? So what if they believe in different entities? Let them believe in what they want. As long as they don’t hurt anyone, it isn’t a problem, right? Psychologists say that the solution to racism is the ‘enlightenment values’ which is the humankind’s release from its self-secured immaturity. Enlightenment is the process of undertaking to think for oneself, to employ and rely on one’s own intellectual capacities in determining on what to believe and how to act .
