Water is a scarce commodity in Malta. Rain water should be captured and the best way is to have cisterns in every house in order to collect rain water that falls on the roofs. At the same time, there is less possibility of flooding in our streets.

Why not compost it locally ?!

This article regards the idea of composting green trash in our old towns and villages where typically there is this waste generation with every season. The initiative could be taken by local councils which, at a later stage, could even encourage their residents to consider composting in their own houses in the garden or on the roof as an educational initiative. The compost generated in villages could be used for embellishing roundabouts, local council premises, public gardens, etc., …
