Xrobb l-Għaġin

Fil-15 ta’ Jannar, l-iskola tagħna ħadet sehem fl-attivita’ – ‘Plant a Tree for Peace’ li saret ġewwa ‘Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park and Sustainable Development Centre’. Din l-attivita’ kienet organizzata minn ‘Nature Trust Malta’ permezz tal-programm tagħha ‘LEAF’ (Learning About Forests). Fl-iskola tagħna aħna ppreparajna għal din l-attivita’ billi ġbarna xi flus biex inkunu nistgħu nixtru tmien siġriet biex niżirgħuhom dakinhar waqt din l-attivita’. Il-ftuħ ta’ din iċ-ċerimonja sar b’diskors dwar il-benefiċċji tas-siġar u appell lin-nies biex huma wkoll jagħtu s-sehem tagħhom billi jagħtu daqqa t’id u anke jkunu ta’ eżempju tajjeb għall-oħrajn. Ghaliex is-sigar huma importanti hafna kemm ghalina kif ukoll ghall-annimali.

Responsible Actions for a Better Environment

At our school we try to do our best to instill in our students awareness for a better environment. As we believe that the implementation of actions of good practices are a benefit for them to learn how we can protect our trees and our environment so to combat deforestation. By means of the sowing of seeds activity, we enhanced the students’ awareness about the environmental and social importance of forest. For this reason we try to contribute to CO2 emissions and we want to reduce CO2 emissions. Thus we needed to implement educational activities which we need to make some changes in the way we live. We believe that these changes are important to be done together as a community as we are sure that small changes make big differences and thus result in great achievements.

Nhar l-Erbgħa 15 ta’ Jannar kienet il-ġurnata ddedikata lis-siġar. Għalhekk jien flimkien ma’ tfal oħra mill-iskola tagħna morna Xrobb l-Għaġin fejn ħadna sehem f’attivita’ favur is-siġar. F’Xrobb l-Għaġin iltqajna ma’ tfal minn skejjel oħra. Il-Ministru tal-Ambjent għamel diskors interessanti dwar is-siġar. Barra hekk ahna kellna wkoll workshops interessanti hafna wkoll. Din l-attivita’ ghenitna hafna sabiex nitghallmu aktar dwar kif nibzghu ghas-sigar sabiex ikollna ambjent ahjar.
