This photo story shows how a lime grows. First there are the small white flowers on the tree, known as blossoms. Then a tiny lime is formed and starts to grow into a bigger lime. Finally the lime is ready for consumption. This shows how nature takes care of itself and changes step by step and how fruit grows over time. It also reminds us to take care of trees because they give us food. Photo 1: Small white blossoms appear on the tree, marking the beginning of the lime’s growth. Photo 2: A tiny green lime starts to form from the flower and begins to grow. Photo 3: A fully grown, ripe lime is ready to be picked and eaten.

Bees are essential pollinators that help many plants grow and reproduce. Bee populations are facing challenges such as habitat loss, climate change, and pesticides. This photo story shows the daily life of bees and the role beekeepers play in supporting and protecting these important insects. By protecting pollinators, we protect biodiversity and the future of our food systems. P1 Bee at work A bee collects nectar and pollen from a flower. During this process, pollen sticks to the bee’s body and is transferred between plants, allowing them to reproduce. P2 The beekeeper A beekeeper checks on the hive to monitor the health of the bee colony. Responsible beekeeping helps protect bees from disease and environmental stress. P3 Helping the colony Extra food is placed near the hive to help the bees when natural nectar sources are limited. This support can be important during colder months or when flowers are scarce

The activities carried out during Grandparents Day, including Orange Juice and Lemonade Day and the Ekogames, were shared with the wider school community through photos, a short video, and a photostory. During the event, students actively participated in preparing fresh orange juice by juicing the oranges themselves and responsibly discarding the waste in the organic bin, promoting environmentally friendly habits. The oranges were generously donated by students and also by a Parliament representative, showing strong community involvement. Prior to the activity, a special assembly was organised to inform the whole school about the benefits of drinking fresh orange juice and making healthy lifestyle choices. During the Ekogames, children designed and participated in activities such as a waste separation relay race, sorting games, “Catch the Garbage Monster,” and a waste management quiz, promoting environmental awareness in a fun, active, and engaging way. The dissemination aimed to raise awareness about healthy living,

Our students had a truly hands-on experience as they cared for their vegetables in the school greenhouse, nurturing them from seedlings until they were ready to harvest and in the end, they finally enjoyed the fruits of their hard work, picking fresh lettuce, cauliflower, and other home-grown veggies. Everyone got creative, preparing their own healthy and colorful salads with the produce they had grown themselves. It was amazing to see the full journey—from planting and tending the crops to harvesting and sharing a meal together. A delicious and educational experience for all! Growing hope: Students planting vegetables in their school garden show how small actions today can help secure food for tomorrow.
