The article was written after we attended one of the turtle release events organized by Nature trust. I describe the story behind the turtles in question and how our irresponsible behavior cause terrible injures to these turtles who had to pass through a period of rehabilitation before getting released back into the wild. The injuries caused were due to our fishing practices and waste dumped. It was a very emotional experience for all of us.

Over the past few years we have seen many changes happening to the Earth. All over the news and other media, we are hearing many stories which are related to extreme weather conditions. We are hearing of floods in areas where it doesn’t usually rain, and also of ice melting in areas which are normally very cold. But why is all this happening?

This article deals with ekoskola projects done by our ekoskola committee during this year. We were focusing on separation of waste throughout the whole school. We did some quantitative data research on the amount of recycling waste we collect as a school per week and analysed the data.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign commemorated worldwide to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research. The Pink Colour Ribbon campaign aims to raise awareness about breast and gynaecological cancers, as well as raise funds for cancer research and programmes of prevention.
