On Monday, 3rd October 2022, a special morning assembly was celebrated at St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Cospicua inviting students to reflect upon the spiritual value of the Holy Rosary prayer. Following this special morning assembly celebration, the Rosary of the Unborn was launched with RE classes.

On Tuesday, 15th November 2022, some Form 4 (Year 10) classes at St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Cospicua experienced the beauty of a Chinese Tea Culture ceremony as part of their multi cultural project. During this ceremony, students had the chance to smell the nice aroma of fresh Chinese Jasmine tea leaves and taste a cup of delicious Chinese tea.

On Friday, 27th January 2023, a group of Form 4 (Year 10) students at St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Cospicua commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day. Holocaust Memorial Day has been observed each year on January 27th since 2005. This is the same day that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated in 1945 by Russian troops. Holocaust Memorial Day or International Holocaust Remembrance Day is commemorated each year in remembrance of victims of genocide across the world. It is an international day to remember in particular the over six million Jews killed during the Holocaust. During this day we also remember the millions of other people killed or persecuted by Nazi Germany during the Second World War.

On Monday, 21st November 2022, a group of Form 4 (year 10) Science Core Curriculum Programme (CCP) students at St. Margaret College Secondary School Verdala, Cospicua engaged in an eco-project highlighting the use of Water Pump Mills in Malta and their urgent repair especially in some localities in Malta where they are exposed to strong winds. This science project was related to their Science study unit about the Energy Sources.

The article deals with the case of a water reservoir located on a very busy street. The reservoir is home to a group of ducks. The surface of the water is very often covered with a thick layer of algae – the result of eutrophication. The article explains the possible reason behind this phenomenon, identifies the problems it causes and discusses possible ways in which the situation can be dealt with.
